The Burning is a Danish metal band from Jyllands capital Aarhus. The group was founded in 2005 by Johnny Haven (Vocals) and Rasmus Normand (Guitar) Rasmus had played in Panzerchrist before and later with Johnny Haven in progressive metal band Awedge. Later in 2009, Rasmus Normand decides to leave the band to try something new. Shortly after that the band announced their new guitarist, Alex Kjeldsen (ex- Dawn Of Demise). and in late 2009, after some time in the rehearsal room with Alex, The Burning went on a Denmark tour with the Danish metal band The Psyke Project.
